How to create a character and what are the forms of characterization?

Character is everything in a book. Without interesting characters, readers would have no reason to continue reading a story. Strongly defined characters also make for a strong story. In this introduction, we will define what character is in a book and explain how to develop it into an interesting aspect of the narrative.

Protagonist and antagonist are used to describe characters.

The protagonist is the main character of the story, the one with whom the reader identifies. This person is not necessary “good”.

The antagonist is the force in opposition of the protagonist; this person may not be “bad” or “evil”, but he/she opposes the protagonist in a significant way

Characterization

Characterization is the many ways that characters are constructed for the audience member.  The narrator can explicitly provide character information or can provide information that implies things about a character.

Types of Characters

  • People or animals
  • Major characters
  • Minor characters

A well-rounded character is essential to creating a   story. A character must be well-defined in order to be well-liked; readers need to know what the main character wants and why she wants it. Additionally, readers must understand how the main character reacts to various situations and learn from her behavior— this is how she grows as a  throughout the story.  defined characters are also easier for writers to incorporate into their stories without making the reader confused about who these people are.  Complete characters are essential to a well-defined story; otherwise, there would be no sense of progression for the narrative’s protagonist or antagonist.

Good characters also make it easy for writers to develop multiple perspectives on a single character’s thoughts and feelings so that readers can connect with the characters they encounter. Multiple viewpoints also allow writers more freedom with pacing and suspense as they can introduce complications and conflicts at different times for their main characters to deal with.

Perfil characters are also easier for writers to incorporate into their stories without making the reader confused about who these people are. Strongly defined traits since every scene focuses on her thoughts and feelings toward particular situations or people she knows nothing about . Situations like learning from her mistakes— this makes her appear like a likable protagonist since she reacts based on her own goals  . Since most of characters reactions are tied directly to her own emotions, it’s easy for readers to identify with her and like her since they can see herself in her emotions when reading about how she deals with difficult situations head-on rather than running away from them like many other heroes would do in similar circumstances— this makes  an ideal protagonist for such an action novel!
